That's me playing in December of 2009 at Caffe Vivaldi :-)
Caffe Vivaldi is one of the places I got my start as a singer/songwriter in NYC. Ishrat, the owner, and his staff have always been welcoming, kind, and most of all, huge music fans. They take a chance on new, talented artists and give writers, musicians, and artists a space to try new songs and do smaller, acoustically oriented performances in a room that looks full with 25 people in it. Great for the vibe, great for the artists' morale (ha), and such a unique, wonderful experience. The history, the beautiful mahagony bar, the great little sound system- and the REAL PIANO!- make this place a total gem that must continue presenting the acoustic, pop, jazz, blues, world, open mic, and tons of other music that happens every night of the week.
I have played here solo, with an acoustic band, early, late night, at an open mic, or doing a 90 minute set... and I am asking anyone who has ever been here, or loves live acoustic music, to please take a minute to sign the petition above and share that link with other music fans.
